Monthly Special Yoga Class

School Day Specials &
Enrichment Classes

School Day Specials

The Purchase Children's Center programs include weekly and monthly 'specials' that  offer new opportunities for our students to grow in literacy, language, numeracy, gross & fine motor skills, and social-emotional skills.

Music

Classes participate in weekly music which exposes children to rhythm, nursery rhymes, & basic music theory. Children utilize rhythm sticks, beans bags & other materials to explore creative movement.

Physical Education

Every class participates in weekly physical education, which focuses on gross motor skills, introductory sports skills, self-esteem & confidence building. These skills foster the development of proprioception, spatial awareness, & hand-eye coordination.

Library

Hosted by our neighbor, The Purchase Free Library, classes visit the library for a read aloud and class book checkout on select dates in the Fall and Spring. This program fosters a love of reading as well as responsibility in caring for borrowed items.

Yoga

Classes participate in yoga monthly! This program exposes children to social emotional development as well as gross & fine motor skills. Yoga provides strategies for reducing stress & anxiety as well as improves focus in the classroom.

Optional Programs

Lunch bunch and extended day programs are offered to both meet diverse scheduling needs of our families and, most importantly, offer our students new social emotional opportunities.
